What level of surfing ability do I need to have?
None. From learning to paddle out and stand up for your first time to advanced surfers looking to score the best waves and conditions, Shayne & Shannon are experienced Instructors and Guides that will help you reach your goals in a fun & easygoing pace. You will not be put in dangerous situations or pressured beyond your ability.
What is a typical Go Surfari day like?
Shayne and/or Shannon will arrive each morning at your accommodation (time depending on your preference), and then we will do a variety of things from surfing, SUP, diving, & exploring the island. The McIntyres will take you (transportation is provided) to a variety of excellent surfing beaches & other activities. At the end of the day we will return to your accommodation for you to relax in the evening and we will see you the next morning. A typical day averages 8am-5pm more or less. We do not provide evening/night transportation. There are many affordable car rental companies to choose from should you want your own vehicle.
What if I only Longboard, SUP, bodysurf, boogieboard, etc.?
Shayne & Shannon are more than happy to have Guests who ride any type of wave craft and know the best breaks for various types of equipment.
Will Shayne & Shannon surf with me every day?
Shayne will be your primary Instructor/Guide and will be surfing with you. Shannon may join in on certain days and if requested by Female Surfers.
What if I don't want to surf or SUP?
Though that is our focus, you are more than welcome to Go Surfari and not surf. There are a range of other activities available.
Will I need to bring my own equipment?
It is preferred that you bring your own surfboards but there are surfboards available to rent & purchase in Puerto Rico. SUPs are available to use, however you are more than welcome to bring your own personal SUP.
How many Guests will be there at one time?
-Go Surfari Puerto Rico is 1 to 5 Guests maximum. If you book for 2 or more people you will not be grouped with others Guests. If you are interested in booking for 1 person, please inquire about our scheduled group weeks.
What Dates are available for Go Surfari Puerto Rico?
Booking is year-round, but not all Dates may be available due to other bookings, if Shayne & Shannon are On Surfari themselves, etc.

-When are the best waves in Puerto Rico?
Prime wave Season: Oct-April
Less consistent but often great conditions: Sept & May
Flat to fun: June-August
*No matter the size of the surf, there are many nearby protected bays for smaller/easier conditions and flat water for SUP.
-Do I need a Passport or shots to visit Puerto Rico?
Puerto Rico is a US Territory so US citizens do not need a passport, just a Drivers License or equivalent for Adults. International visitors will need a passport. No shots are required or needed for entry.
-What is Puerto Rico like?
Take a lush & tropical Caribbean island with warm clear emerald green water, mix in a little Spainard influence, a dash of America, and set it in a laid-back vibe to chill. Puerto Rico is a 1st world island with paved roads, modern hospitals, and no need to pay-off police etc. *Of all the places Shayne & Shannon have traveled they decided to raise their Family in Puerto Rico.

-Go Surfari International will have set Dates at Surf Resorts.
-There will be 10-15 surfers per trip
-You will need to bring all of your own surfing equipment & accessories.
-Videography: Go Surfari International is a one-of-a-kind experience where you will be video'd each day with top-end HD equipment by a Professional On Surfari Cameraman which will then be edited by Shayne into a On Surfari themed short-film for you.
